The end of the year is always tinged with sadness, thinking of the passing of time. The kids are taller, and we find ourselves that little bit more mature, yet clinging to our youthful zest for life.
But it is also a time of excitement at the possibilities the new year will bring. We are so blessed to live in this place at this time. We are grateful for all we have and each new day reminds of this as the sun peaks over the horizon to light up our world.
And in the face of all the flux and change life throws at us there is always the garden – constant in its ebb and flow. The seasons roll around with such predictability it brings comfort, but also an undefeatable hope that this season will be the best ever.
So to wrap up a fabulous year I indulged myself in a glorious reminisce and lost myself to all time going through my multitude of photos to select just one from each month that best summarized its part in the calendar.
Reviewing the garden in this way made anything seem possible for 2016 and I really look forward to embracing all it has to offer.
Come again soon – next year is going to be fabulous, because it will be spent in a garden.

Yes time just keeps rolling on, but spring is exciting.
Hi Gene. I love the experience and wisdom the passing of time gives us, but I’m not so keen on the aging bit – I still feel quite young.
Cheers Sarah : o)

Thanks Julie. The seasons seem to disappear so quickly, it is nice to look back and remember how things were. Happy New Year to you and your family this season, I hope it is a fabulous one and I hope this storm isn’t being too mean in your garden.
