Our Christmas tree is up. As nothing in nature is really perfect, we like to get a tree from the farm next door. I'm not very good with houseplants, and since I was away they may have become even more neglected.Today I was surprised to find my cyclamen A: still alive, but also B: infested with aphids. I mean - how did they even get in the house?! It does prove that a poorly plant is a magnet for pests and disease.So I removed the dodgy leaves, gave the plant a spray Yates NZes NZ Nature's Way Fruit and Vegie Gun and am hoping for great results.Now I wonder how my other houseplants are doin#notsponsoredjustusingwhatihavegWhatIHave ... I love growing tomatoes, but they can be a bit of a drama queen with so many things that can go wrong. My greatest threat is the Tomato Potato Psyllid. The end of an era. My humble Upright Rosemary is no more. I had no choice but to cut it down and pull it out of the garden because it was quite dead.But it will live on in the tiny little branch that layered itself and grew roots and the hundreds of cuttings that form the hedge in the Rock Garden.I've kept its branches and will use them in the summer to add flavoured smoke to our BBQs.
