Greenhouse

All in a morning’s work

All in a morning’s work

I’m a under a bit of pressure this season with a lot to be done in a short amount of time, in and out of the garden.  To be fair if it was just the garden I’d be pottering along quite happily.  But life is about balance, so the things beyond the garden influence the time I have available to spend in the garden.  And don’t get me wrong I love the outside things just as much as I love the inside things – it is just a matter of managing my time so I can get them both done in a timely manner with the least amount of stress.

One of the ways I have decided this season to reduce stress is to replace note taking and the guilt I feel around it when I know I should be better at it, with photos.  A photo says a thousand words right?!  So every time I do something I take a photo and let the automatic date stamping take care of the details.  It seems to be working … for now.  So while I take a quick break for lunch to make the most of the gluttonous asparagus season, I can show you what I’ve done:

Transplanting
I transplanted anything that needed moving into bigger pots in the greenhouse.
Greenhouse
The greenhouse is starting to fill up.
Crop protection
Chickens keep escaping so anything vulnerable going into the garden needs to be protected.

Come again soon – there is more to be done.
