Happy Christmas to you all. We have had so much rain and humidity my first flush of straw berries all went mouldy 😕 hoping for better luck in the next flush. Reminds self to remove old straw in case mould spores are still there. As strawberries are currently $7.50 for a punnet…… Cheers Sarah. Enjoy them. Lynne 🤶

Sarah, December is always a busy month for me. I love sending out Christmas cards with special messages of encouragement in each one. As a result, December is filled with designing, printing, and writing messages for the cards. Now that is over so I can start on the planning next year’s garden by studying the seed catalogs, inventorying my seeds, and ordering seeds. Of course, there are always unfinished winter inside projects to work on.
It’s always a hope that the Christmas in Nebraska will be white with snow but alas it was not meant to be this year. So, the toboggan still rests ready for snow to arrive in the garage. The Christmas here was Merry and the New Year was happy. Now if only it continues throughout the rest of the year.
I love strawberries. I planted some last year and am looking forward to the delightful taste of home grown this year.

It must be lovely to have the festive season and the New Year during the winter when you get time to enjoy it and indulge in all the traditions offer. Here – in the middle of the growing season it is hot and very busy with having to manage the garden and everything else as well. I hope you garden planning goes well. : o)
