‘… with pretty things all in a row…’
Well maybe not all in a row, but there are a lot of pretty cool things in the garden right now. Check them out:
The first salad crops went in as well. This is a mix between cut and come again varieties and some that get harvested whole – I’ll have to let Hubby the Un-Gardener know which is which!
I finally got my radish in. I think French Breakfast are my favourites, but I’m looking forward to putting daikon radish into my kimchi this year.
I popped in a row of spring onions that will help elevate the flavour of our summer meals.
My onions have started to bulb up already. This is exciting news!
I was late getting my peas in, but soon enough I will be able to enjoy the sweet green treats!
The spuds are up – hooray!
The marigolds are coming along nicely and I’m looking forward to seeing them planted out all around the garden. The look lovely and help out with the pest watch duties.
My lockdown savoy cabbage may have been full of slugs, but a jolly good wash gave us a delish cabbage – just in time for the warm weather and coleslaw season! : o)
My over wintered peppers are springing back into life. Not all of them made it but most did and I look forward to an earlier harvest this season. : o)
Come again soon – it feels like the garden is changing every day.

You think your peas are late? Mine are still in the packet!
I hope you have managed to get them in the ground already… I am thinking of sowing another row so I can pod peas on Christmas. : o)
There is still a lot going on in your garden Sarah. It is lovely to have a glimpse of what you are growing.
Thanks. it won’t be long before it is time to put them in the garden! : o)
